Submitted Order

The pets(s) commissioned will be the subject of a painting produced by Meghan Clarke, and that the final artwork will be the artist’s interpretation of the subject(s) based on the photos and information provided by the client.

Reference Photo

The photographs provided for reference must have been taken by the client, or permission for their use obtained by the client from the original photographer. If the artwork is to be a gift, the clients accepts responsibility of sourcing and using images that are of the recipient’s pet. By sending the reference photos you grant me permission to use these photos in my publicity and advertising media.

Copyright

The artist reserves the common-law copyright to all works commissioned by the client that are created by the artist. This includes all reproduction rights, rights to create prints or license the designs, regardless of who owns the original piece. No artwork may be reproduced by the client without the prior written approval of the artist.

Social Media Usage and Promotion

Permission to Share Work: The Client acknowledges that the Artist may share images, videos, or other content related to the project on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, etc.) for promotional purposes. The Client grants permission for the Artist to post photos or videos of the completed work, project progress, or behind-the-scenes content on the Artist’s social media accounts.

Usage of Social Media for Marketing: The Artist reserves the right to use the images, videos, or content from the project for marketing and portfolio purposes on the Artist’s own social media and website. The Client understands that this content may appear in the Artist’s promotional materials unless a separate agreement is made.

Tagging and Credit: The Artist reserves the right to tag or credit the Client in social media posts featuring the Client’s project, unless otherwise requested in writing by the Client. The Client agrees to credit the Artist on their own social media platforms when sharing the work, where applicable and feasible.

Creative Decisions and Changes

The artist will consult with the client regarding layout,
colour scheme, content. The artist will provide progress updates at the initial, middle and final stages of production to allow the client to evaluate the piece. The client may request minor revisions in response to these updates, provided the changes do not require starting a new commission or a complete reworking of the piece. Additional requests for revisions by the client may be refused by the artist. If the artist chooses to execute these further revisions, they will be commissioned at an additional cost of no less then $25 and a maximum of $100. This may result in a later date of completion. The artist will make all final decisions regarding the ultimate aesthetic of the composition.

Payment

Client can select credit/debit at the time of ordering. Shipping fees are added at checkout.

Returns

All Pet Portraits are personal and made to order. Once the painting has been started the order is FINAL SALE. Please keep in mind the artist Meghan Clarke will make every effort to complete a painting you are happy with.
